The General Assembly 2024 voted in favor to approve the following text to be included in the IFSS Race rules.
This text is now also posted on IFSS website under Anti Doping/Transgender Athletes.
Eligibility for transgender persons in sleddogsports
1. All competing transgender athletes must have a TUE from the IFSS TUE committee. The TUE committee follows the WADA physician guideline for transgender.
2. Transgender males with a TUE are eligible to participate in all classes open to men.
3. Transgender females (who are recorded as males at birth and has gone through a puberty) have a long-lasting advantage with higher muscular strength and better endurance. Transgender females with a TUE are eligible to participate in all classes open to women except Skidog classes, Dryland canicross, Scooter one dog and bike classes.
